• Extensive off-piste
• Two glaciers

Novice skiers and snowboarders

We recommend that complete beginners take the five-minute bus journey from outside our chalet to Le Lac where there are plenty of good ski schools. Le Lac has a central location and is a good place for meeting up with other members in the party. Beginner lessons are now also possible in Tignes 1800.

Intermediate skiers and snowboarders

Intermediate skiers will enjoy cruising down the wide and seemingly endless snowy runs. With a huge selection of blue and red runs this area is perfect for those keen to progress.

Advanced skiers/snowboarders, experts and free spirits

You’ll find plenty to entertain yourselves here, rivaling any other ski area in the French Alps. There are numerous black runs and unparalleled off-piste opportunities. If it’s bumps you’re after you’ll find no shortage of mogul fields here!
One of the area’s most famous and longest black runs is the Sache.  This run, plus several renowned off-piste routes through the Vallon de la Sache, are within easy reach of the Chalet Hotel Les Melezes as they start above Les Boisses from the Aguille Percee (meaning needle’s eye) – a geological oddity well worth a photo!  The unforgettable runs down to Les Brevieres pass through a beautiful nature reserve.

Tignes offers you 9 “Naturides“, these are black slopes marked out with beacons but not groomed giving you natural freeride conditions and allowing you to test the off-piste area in a secure way.

There are snowparks to suit all abilities – beginners and improvers can enjoy the green and blue tables, rails and jumps; the more advanced can head to the red and black jumps!  Be inspired by the pros who come here to train.

You can even practice your big air moves on the safety of the new Snowpark Powerade Airbag!
